Where's My Bailout???

The U.S government doesn't show any justice for college students. First of all, tuition at these universities and colleges are extremely high, compelling some people not to go to school. I am blessed to have the opportunity to attend college and learn. I really understand that it is a must that I learn as much as I can because of the amount of debt I will have prior to me graduating. This shit is absurd.

Since I moved out of my mothers house in '07, I have been a working employee, full time student, and a tax paying U.S citizen. Just for one second, do you think the government give a damn about how much I'm in debt? No, as long as the U.S government can benefit off of my hard working dollars (Taxes) they can care less about how much in tax refunds I get in return for working.

Students that work while in college should be able to get every last penny the government takes out of their check; that means, Federal, State, Health Care, and so on. I thought the children were the future? What happen to investing money into college students? We are the same kids that are going to run these fortune 500 companies in the future.

The U.S government is no different than the person sitting right next to you that's trying to get money now and not caring or carefully think about the long hall. I can care less about the NOW because this shall pass but it's the future that I am molding.

The land of the free huh? Well, help pay for my tuition and stop taxing me like I'm making a million dollars a year (figure of speech).

Slip-N-Slide Records

I received a response email today regarding a college representative position at Slip-N-Slide Records. Although, I sent my initial email out about two (2) months ago I was still please that I got a response asking me if I was still interested in being a rep for SNS. I know you're probably thinking like why SNS? Well, two (2) reasons: One (1), they have had major success in the industry with artists like Trick Daddy to Rick Ross. Two (2), I am always willing to learn new things and I believe I can a lot from SNS.

Those doors of opportunities are steady opening and I will continue to walk through them. I told you guys in my last blog 2009 is going to be a great year for me, Mr. Hello/Goodbye.

I can finally say I have profited off my talent. Thank you God! Alos, my name is featured in the community paper for the show. Press clippings/write ups are always great for future gigs remember that). Do I predict 2009 to be a slamming great year for me? INDEED I DO!

Man It's Been Busy

I sitting here catching a little break from my day to day activities to chat with you guys.

I've been bambarded with homework and more books to purchase. Yesterday, I attended Algebra which was very cool. I really had a moment while the teacher was speaking. I thought to myself, "Damn, school is low key fun but it's only enjoyable if you're learning about the things that you love doing i.e music business (in which I major in).

History of American Popular Music is great class and the book is even better. The book cost a smooth $60.00 but it is worth buying. I was reading chapter 2 for class today, and I was soaking up so much knowledge of the introduction of American Popular Music. I found many fascinating facts about the contribution from African Americans to the American entertainment culture.

I will be working on my midterm project early for the film and editing class. We have to create a trailer of a movie for our midterm and I decided to do a trailer of Vacancy.

......

I have tons of tasks to complete from meetings to homework assignments all at the same time staying creative and motivated to write music. WOOOO!!!! It's crazy I tell ya but things are great and I have nothing to complain about.

Mr. Hello/Goodbye is signing so I can finish some projects before class at one.

Please Listen

What's up guys? I'm good but I'm a little disturbed because I know someone that can receive all the prep talk in the world from other people but when it comes to me, if I say something wrong now you don't want to talk anymore. WHAT!!! So and so just cut you up and you set there and listen. Yeah you were mad but you still listen. I am aware that this person is open to me that the littlest thing I say could hurt them. That's very possible so that's why I am apologizing for saying things that hurt. I only want the best for you and sometimes TRUE FRIENDS just have to be frank. I hope that you take heed to what I have to say. I know I'm young but I am very wise and that's something you even said. I love ya!

On another note, I started working on this song today called "Twisted Up". The concept is about a current situation that I had. I'm still writing the verses and I'm thinking about tweaking some things but it's going to FIRE. I'm outta here!

Cost of School Books Sucks

For one of my classes, I have to purchase a book, well it's a package of two books combined but still I have to buy this package for $175.00. The sad part about this situation is that the instructor gave us homework on the first day of class like students were going to have $175 laying around to buy the book(s) withing the next couple of days. I'm buying my books off line hopefully for $20.00 than I can and carry on.

I set some new goals for my Myspace and Imeem page. The goal is to have my friend count on both sites to increase 10% by next week. So I've been adding friends spreading the good word about Hello/Goodbye and myself. I have to take it back to the days when I was Cali @ The Urban Network. Wish me the best!

Now it's time to get back on the social networking grind. I'll talk to you guys later.

Oh I forgot to mention, I'm learning Final Cut Pro so stay tune for video updates and more.

Today's A Great Day

Good morning, good after, and good night to those overseas. Today is a great. For one, I'm woke up this morning with all of bodily functions working properly. Second, the sky was blue and the sun was peaking through the puffy clouds. Like most people, I tend to allow my troubles of the world and day to day adversaries stand in the way of me appreciating life. Thank you God for shining your grace on me. Today is a great day. Stay focus on your goals and remember "Strivers Are Achievers!"

I Am Music Tour Review

Last night I attended the I Am Music Tour starring Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Glass Heroes and Keri Hilson. The Gym Class Heroes opened the show. They performed three songs including "Cupid's Chokehold" and "Cookie Jar". These guys were dope and they did a great job opening. The next performer was Keyshia Cole, who really impressed me by doing dance routines and singing amazingly. She did a great job at picking the right songs to perform. From " I Changed My Mind" to "Heaven Sent" she had the ladies attached to her performance. I can't even lie I was attached singing word from word to every Keyshia record. The ring leader of the industry Mr. T-Pain came out with a bang after Keyshia. T-Pain had the best performance by far because of two reasons; (a). The circus idea was so engaging (b). T-Pain was dancing through out his whole set along with the midgets and the midget Brittany Spears. No disrepect to the dwarf community. T-Pain show was comical as well creative and energetic. The closing set was the headliner, Weezy F Baby. Lil Wayne performance was good. I shocked to see him performing "Tha Block Is Hot" LOL. That was cool. Lil Wayne and T-Pain did a funny little skit to see which one of them was on more songs in '08. Lil Wayne brought out Keri Hilson to performing "Turning On" together. I really thought she was going to have her own set though.

After watching these great artists on stage doing the same thing that I love doing I felt inspired. It's my time to get the ball rolling so I can pack the Target Center. I want people to walk away from a Danami show with something they can hold on to. I want people to feel inspired when they walk out those venue doors. I want people to feel like sky's the limit and some many other uplifting emotions that will get them to the next level in their lives and careers. I just want to say thank you to Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Glass Heroes and Keri Hilson for giving me a token of inspiration. Now I'm off to the making of History if not for you than it's for me.

Thoughts After The Show

I'm so stoked to say things went awesome. I received a lot of support from a lot of people. The crowd was mixed but pre-dominate white. They understand my message and really enjoyed my music. It was amazing to see a row full of white people (some middle age) embracing me all because they understand the art of music. Music has no color. The best thing about music is that music brings people together and I am a witness of that tonight. I am now confident about performing my music in front of anyone. MY MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL APPEALING BABY!

Thank you Mary for allowing me to be apart of your great event. Please email if you need me for another show. Jon, Anabel, Todd and Jodi thank you for coming out I really appreciate it.

Thoughts Before The Show

Thoughts Before The show, It is 20 minutes away before I go on and I'm just thinking....two or two thousand I will rock the house. You never knows who's in the crowd when you're performing. I have to get in the zone and allow the music to take me away. Man I haven't felt the nervousness yet. Maybe it's because I'm thinking about other things. IDK but I know it feels like I have a lot on the line for this show. I'm actually glad I feel that way because it pushes me to put on the best performance I ever did.

I'm about check out these other performances and get into my zone.
.....................................................................................

15 MINUTES LATER

Man I just got done praying and now my heart is thumping so hard I'm surprise no one has heard it. I'm ready to rock though. I will do great and the people will enjoy my music (hopefully). Words are powerful and your talents are even more. I'm about to go on stage. See ya!

First Day of Class

I just left my first class of this semester and I am tired. Granted that I've been moving around to get things ready for my rehearsal tonight, but my teacher was very boring. He's a cool dude but he is not energetic at all. On top of not being active, my teacher has DRY HUMOR. Don't get me wrong sometimes his jokes are comical but other times they are like, "WTF" LOL. I have to admit, I was dozing off while he was talking. I would wake up periodically adding my two cents in the conversation the class was having just to participate. I am not a terrible student so don't think that. I bet some of you have been in class and fell into a deep sleep to the point you were drooling. UuuGgggHhhhh LOL!

On another note I was surprise with tickets to see Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Class Heroes, and Keri Hilson at the Target Center this Monday. This is going to be a great event to get out the house and attend the concert with my girlfriend. If we don't go I can always try to flip these tickets. But Hopefully we go!

Smile For The Camera

I just confirmed to have Rod of Andrews Photogrpahy , to take pictures of my performance this Saturday. I really like Rod. He is a cool guy with a passion and great understanding of photography. He brought a lot of ideas to the table that made me more aware of his intellect in pictures and creativity. It is always fun working with someone that is as creative as you are or even better. It brings out the sense of being free and releasing crazy ideas. Check out his website out
@ www.www.andrews-photography.com

I am not going to promise anything but hopefully I will have some footage of my performance so you guys can check out. The pictures will be posted on this site for you to check out as well.

I'm about to punch the clock and head home to work on a track I started producing. Yeah, I forgot to tell to you I do production on the side. I really stop making tracks to focus on the writing and business side of things for my album but from time to time I dabble with some sound and samples.

Taking Back Control of My Day

This morning I woke up late so you know what that means......"RUSH RUSH RUSH". When I finally got to work I was in a blank train of thought with no emotion. The reason for this is that,
when you're late for anything you lose control of the situation that you're in. So what I'm doing now is gaining back control of my day so I can enjoy it to the fullest.

My first performance of 2009 is two (2) days away and my first day of class for this semester is one (1) day away. AAAWWWWGGGGHHH. I do have rehearsal tomorrow for my performance that I'm doing on Saturday @ The C.S.P.S or CZECH Hall in St.Paul, MN. I also have a studio session tomorrow to mix a record of mines and to record a verse for The Wize Guyz album.

It's 12:38pm my time and I'm about to go grab lunch so I will talk to you guys later!

Dreams Rock LOL

I was very skeptical of how The Dream will follow up after an amazing run from his music to the likes of J. Holiday, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Usher and so many others. After listening to his new song "Rockin' That Thang" I was happy to hear more great music from him. If his new album "Love Vs Money" is anything like "Love Hate" than I will be buying another Dream album. Check out the song below.

For those that don't know I am working on my debut album entitled "Hello/Goodbye". Lets stress the emphasis on DEBUT. So I have to step up my game on the writing side of things as well as creating and developing successful tactics.

The beginning of the video (0:00 - 1:02) excerpt below from "Fade to Black" is how I am feeling. "EVERY TRACK HAS TO MAKE A STATEMENT!" - JAY-Z
