Weekend of R&R

After a stressful week of school, I took it easy this weekend. I saw a play with my family on Saturday, which was very fun. I also did some video edits for a video that you will see in the near future. Overall, it was very relaxing weekend.

I will be going to mastering this Tuesday for Success Is Intentional. I'm pretty excited about this mixtape. Being my worst critic, I have things I don't like about it but that's only because I'm a huge perfectionists. If it was up to me, the mixtape won't be out until 2010. But I have to let you guys hear what Team Danami has been working on since the summer. Get ready guys, 11/16 will be here in no time!

Soul Men

I got out for a little bit after some studying over the weekend. I managed to head to Target to buy a couple of movies to jump start the week ahead. One of the three (3) movies I purchased was Soul Men starring Samuel Jackson and Bernie Mac. There was tons of funny moments through out this movie. Just hearing Bernie and Sam cussing the way they did was too funny. If you get a chance to see this movie you should, it's a great film. R.I.P Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes.

This week is the week of midterms. I have two (2) midterms on Monday, following the days after. It's going to be cool to take a break from school after midterms. I'll be able to get some stuff done for the release of Success Is Intentional.

I was in the studio this week working on material for Success Is Intentional. I recorded two (2) hot joints that's going on there. I'm excited and anxious to hear the responses once I release the LP. I must admit, I've been learning a lot during the duration of recording this project. I'm learning what to do and what not to do. I'm glad I have this opportunity to better my craft at the same time supply you guys with quality music. Stay tune, Success Is Intentional coming soon.

2Pac's Legacy

I wanted to share some photos of Tupac and his actual writings. I found these items in the book Tupac Shakur Legacy in my school's library about Tupac. The book contains tons of intriguing things from video concepts (that Pac wrote), ideas for movies, invites to movie premiers, studio checklist from recording sessions, and so much more. I was drawn into every little detail of what was in the book b/c of the 2Pac's Legacy. Written by Jamal Joseph, this book is sure to make you a fan of Tupac after flipping through the first couple pages.

Not Giving Up

Fall semester started last week. I have an okay schedule. Some classes are really demanding, especially in what they expect from you. I've been feeling the stress of my hectic schedule including, school, recording Success Is Intentional, marketing and promoting the LP, and my personal life.

Without complaining, I made my mind up and decided to not give up, but to strategize, organize, and balance my schedule. I'm a firm believer in hard working paying off. So I continue traveling on this road of 4hrs of sleep here and there, unable to spend time with my love ones to reap the benefits of my grind and persistence in the end.
