30 Day Habit Change – Waking up At 6am

Tomorrow morning I start my journey of a 30 Day habit change; waking up at 6am. The purpose of this journey/experiment is to increase my productivity and to get more out of my day to practice keyboard, read, write music, etc.

I was inspired to do this experiment after the writer of Freestyle Mind completed his 30 day experiment. From my past experiences of waking up early and getting things done, I found I had more time to spend with my family, exercise, or whatever other activities that I would like to engage in.

So, starting from tomorrow, I’m going to enter a 30 days challenge where I’m going to get up at 6am every morning.

Rules:

1.) Wake up at 6am every day except nights I perform/networking
I leave out my performing/networking nights, because I usually get home around 2am, and it would be stressful on my body waking up early, only running on 4 hours of sleep.

2.) Afternoon naps are prohibited
My goal is to wake up refreshed, not with sleep deprivation. Thus, the afternoon nap would be an incentive to increase productivity, not to compensate sleep.

3.) Bedtime, 10pm – 11pm
In order to get up at 6am, I will be going to sleep between 10pm – 11pm. This will provide my body with the proper 7-8 hours it needs.

I’ll blog about this experience, how I’ll feel during the days. At the end of these 30 days, I’ll decide wherever to continue with this new schedule or not
