A Letter to My Fans #4

Some of you may know this, but others may not know that I’m a senior at McNally Smith College of Music. I graduate April 30, 2011 with my Bachelors of Arts in Music Business. I remember vividly when I moved to Minnesota from Detroit in 2007. I was excited about starting a new life, getting away from home, and learning about music. I’ve accomplished so much during my four years here. I’m very proud of myself. A lot of my friends either dropped out or didn’t attend college at all. It’s a blessing to have made it to the last lap and able to see the finish line. Shout out to the class of 2011. Much success to all of you thats graduating this year!
I’ve been working (like always) on some exciting things. TeamDanami has constructed a year plan of goals and things we’re going to execute. One of those things is to release another CD. I’ve been in the studio already, working on freestyles and remixes; one of which is my take on Trey Songz’ “Can’t Be Friends”. Look forward to hearing that in a few weeks.
This new project doesn’t have a title or direction as of yet, but you can expect Danami, nothing less. I’m so much more comfortable starting a new project now. The timing feels right. I’m anxious to hear what I’m going to write about. That might sound crazy, but there ain’t no telling what beat I might come across that inspires something great. Since Success Is Intentional, I’ve grown as man and artist. I’m one of those artists that will purposely take time in between each CD to ensure growth and development and that you’re getting the best of me at that time. I totally disagree with artists that release an album in June and start working on another album in September. Where is the promotion for the album you released in June? Aren’t you going to shoot a video because you haven’t shot the first one? These cats puzzle me, but HEY, that’s what make me Danami and them, them.
Till next time peace II | Danami
P.S.
Any suggestions of what my next mixtape should be called? Leave your suggestion in the comments.
