Like other African Americans that’s in my age range, we experienced something so important on Tue. 4, 2008, that some of us won’t be able to understand what we partaken in fully until years later. I casted my first vote for a presidential election. Not only did I cast my vote, but I voted for Barack Obama, the first African American to run for presidency and later to become the President of The United States. I was so stoked walking through the doors into The Gallery (Where I voted). History in the making was made on the 4th, and I’m just excited that I was able to contribute to history!
