Here are some pictures taken yesterday at the Audio Perm Block Party held at Shuga Records in Northeast Minneapolis. This was the first block party organized by the Audio Perm crew. Attendance was low considering this type of event. Maybe all the Hip-Hop heads were at the Minnesota State Fair.

Despite it’s average attendance, the block party was a success. Things went accordingly to schedule and the music was grooving. One performance highlight that stood out above others was Toki Wright‘s performance. During Toki’s rendering of “More Fiya”, he climbed on top of the neighboring Shuga Records building and performed the remaining second and third verse of the song. The crowd in awed all shift to their right to see Toki rip it.

I hope Audio Perm does another block party. I would love to perform. It’s great to see younger guys organizing cool events instead of the regular Joes in town. Much success Audio Perm; you did a great job!
