I wanted to write this blog post/project 365 based on what I’ve experienced today. I will not go into details, but I will share with you my thoughts on police.

N.W.A once said fuck the police. People who were unaware of the police mistreatments assumed N.W.A was irrational,and simply destroying the world with their provocative music. The truth is, not all but some police do believe they’re above the law. A badge and a gun can turn a civil man into a villain.

Policemen are no different than you and I. They are citizens like us. But for some reason (some) officers feel they have to show their muscle. Their only job is to protect and serve while maintaining public order. I’ve seen cops cause more disturbance than what the incident called for. As citizens we must educate ourselves to protect ourselves. Especially for my people of color. We must educate ourselves on the laws on which some cops forgotten or failed to learn. Remember this, it doesn’t take a badge and gun to protect and serve. We can police ourselves without the help of arrogant individuals in uniforms.
